我最近在换工作。h1b transfer网站上已经显示approve了，但是还没有收到hard copy. 上一个公司在4/14 terminate了我的h1b, 我还没有入职新公司。因为想要拿到hard copy, 然后回国一个月再入职新公司，所以得留在美国等到hard copy。我现在算out of status吗？还是可以算 grace period? adjustment of status? 担心如果是out of status，太久的话会有身份问题

原则上，您拿到h1b transfer就可以为新雇主工作了。根据您的approval notice，上面写有您的valid date，您的valid date很有可能已经是开始了的。所以您有合法的身份的。

就算您的valid date还没开始，您还是可以留在美国等hard copy的，甚至给新雇主工作的。所以您不是out of　status 或者grace period。
